The Result of DISC Management/Leadership Diagnostic exam for me was "IC"- Influence & Conscientiousness.
Conscientiousness: Concerned, Cautious, and Correct. These individuals are often focused on details and quality. They plan ahead; constantly check for accuracy, and what to know "how" and "why."
This test was very accurate for me, because I am very people oriented, optimistic, interdependent, (=I traits), as well as deliberate, calculated risk taker, and perfectionist (= C traits.) But this doesn’t mean that the test will be ALWAYS accurate for everyone. Therefore this test shouldn’t be the only factor the companies use to fully understand the people, but it can be very helpful to determine people’s management “type” to better understand them at first.
From what I've noticed so far, I do agree that you are a very people oriented and optimistic person. You are very fun to be around. You also tend to plan ahead, which reflects in such a busy schedule that you have.
ReplyDeleteI do agree though that this test should not be the only factor in judging people and that there is much more to getting to know a person than just a simple test.
Given my experience these personality generally tends to be pretty accurate but like you said these shouldn't be the factor the companies use to hire or fully understand their employees. It can only help to understand individual's management style and types. But I think its great for individuals to take these test to a better understand about themselves.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've seen of you, I think "people oriented" is a great way to describe you. In our group discussions, you were very in tune with other people's thoughts, feelings, and ideas.
ReplyDeleteMy test also turned out very accurate. I think these tests would be more helpful if they were given to employees rather than used to make decisions about employees.
You are lucky actually, I wish i was an Ic me on the other hand I am an DC. Which means I'm bull headed and work to get my goals done. I actually thought was an Ic and was going argue this test until i was proven wrong by me even thinking about doing so.
ReplyDeleteLol. I am the DC type as well, an impatient and calculating person. I think my personality developed into DC from my work :( It would've been better to be a people-oriented person like you! I totally agree with James Chambers about you being an outgoing and caring others!

ReplyDeleteI had the same results as you! After reading over all of the descriptions I think this is a great combo for us to be. I also agree with you about using this to enhance a manager's ability to understand their employee's personality and not letting it be the only factor. I think it's very important to keep a balance and not let it be the only influencing factor.
